Insurance Claims
You’ve had some roof damage and need to make a claim with your insurance company. So, before you do anything, give A&M PREMIER a call. As professionals, we are capable of dealing with the claims process, which can be very cumbersome. It is very important to have a team of experienced contractors that can ensure your claim is handled properly. We cannot stress this enough.
Insurance Claims: What every homeowner should know
State Farm Insurance lost $3.9 billion in 2012 due to hail and wind damage. Roof insurance claims accounted for the astronomical sum. Homeowners are typically bewildered by documents, inspections, and dealing with insurance agents while making claims.
Roof insurance claims might be straightforward or complex. If a person needs a new roof, or just repairs on an existing one, there are a few things he or she should know before getting started. This may be a difficult task to navigate at times. However, we ensure the process goes smoothly, and provide the greatest potential result.
If your roof is damaged in any way, and you have homeowner’s insurance, there are a number of factors that will determine what is covered, and how much the insurance company will actually reimburse. It is imperative to have a competent roofing contractor on your side that can verify your claim, and ensure you receive everything you are entitled to. Important materials are left off of claims nearly every time a claim is filed, and you cannot/will not be able to determine this without a professional. Remember, insurance is a business.

How does the insurance claims process work ?
Upon filing a claim, your insurance company will send an inspector/adjuster to verify your claim. If you do not have a professional contractor there to go over the damage with the insurance adjuster, there is a very high probability that your claim will not be handled properly.
There are a variety of situations that might cause damage to a person’s roof. Hail is identifiable by the indentations they create on the roof surface, while high winds will detach your shingles, and in some cases blown them off of the roof entirely. Both will leave your roof open to the elements, and will cause leaks over time.
What can A&M PREMIER do for you when dealing with a potential insurance claim?
- We will provide you with a free inspection, and explain whatever issues your roof may be having, if it does indeed have issues. We also take pictures so that you can see what we’re talking about.
- We will then give a recommendation as to whether you should file a claim or not, and why. This not only depends on the shape of your roof, but the insurance company you have as well, as different insurance companies operate very differently.
- We then file the claim, and coordinate with your designated adjuster to meet at your home.
- We climb the roof with the adjuster, and we ensure that everything on your roof is accounted for, and the claim is filed properly. This is often done by a third-party contractor, and they will not care about your claim the way you do. This is the most important part of the claims process, and it must be done right.
- Once we get your claim back, and we have ensured that everything has been covered, we will schedule and build your roof immediately.
When the build is done, we handle the remaining steps with your insurance company, and we make sure you are satisfied with all aspects of the process, leaving no customer unhappy, ever
