A&M Premier Roofing & Construction Responds to Recent News Reports
Raleigh, NC — December 15, 2025 — A&M Premier Roofing & Construction is aware of recent reports regarding the arrest of an individual in Charlotte, North Carolina, in connection with alleged fraudulent activity. Unfortunately, the North Carolina Department of Insurance did not notify or contact A&M Premier Roofing & Construction for clarification or comment before releasing this information to the public. As a result, we feel it is important to provide clear and accurate context for our customers, partners, and community.
The individual previously worked as a 1099 independent contractor, not an employee, and has performed work for several local roofing companies over the past several years, both before and after his association with A&M Premier. He initially contracted with A&M Premier from 2023 to 2024, during which time he maintained a solid performance record with no reported infractions or issues. His contract concluded in 2024 when he chose to work for another local roofing company in the Raleigh area. He later returned to A&M Premier as a 1099 independent contractor for a short period of time in 2025, and his relationship with our company had ended prior to the reported arrest.
All 1099 contractors affiliated with A&M Premier operate independently and are required to maintain their own liability insurance, comply with all state and local laws, and adhere to strict ethical and professional standards. Contractors also pay a fee for the use of any company-branded assets, including vehicles or marketing materials, and are contractually prohibited from misrepresentation or unethical conduct. A&M Premier Roofing & Construction outlines these expectations clearly within our Independent Contractor Agreement, which includes explicit language regarding ethical conduct. Our agreement states unequivocally that creating or manufacturing damage of any kind is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate termination of the contractor relationship. A&M Premier does not condone unethical practices under any circumstances, as they directly conflict with our training, standards of conduct, and company values. When concerns arise, we take them seriously and act decisively, including issuing warnings or terminating contracts when appropriate.
Any misuse of A&M Premier branding, misrepresentation of affiliation, or violation of contractor policies constitutes a breach of contract and does not reflect the business practices, standards, or values of A&M Premier Roofing & Construction.
